Above is my social media evolution resume, it indicates the most recent social media platforms that I am using to the oldest ones I have used.

Using social media tools to get your brand out there and bringing out YOU is vital in the PR field. It is a method for people to get to know you better and assess your credibility and your presence online.

Blogging is truly a phenomenon, it is a form of story- telling. I am telling you my story right now. Anyone can read about my passions.

I am giving everyone an opportunity to truly see sides of me that I want them too see.

Being available, searchable and interactive are a crucial aspect of a great blog.

I feel like a semi-expert now, I feel involved, I feel proud that I have learned ways to show myself to the world, and I have the control of the messages displayed, the rest is left to interpretations and discussion.

It is all about my words, my pictures, my profiles that exhibit ME!

telling my story?

I'm on the pursuit of happiness.

I am semi- new to social media. I want to make differences. I want to use social platforms for the better good of the world. I believe that if there is a will there is a way.

What I've learned this far is that social media has endless possibilities. If used properly it can really enhance your online presence.

You have the power and you are the expert of you. It is a matter of how you use these tools to present you.

I have so much to learn. I am not ready to narrow down who I am yet, it is definitely a continuous journey.

I do know that I am excited, and open minded. I like to think of myself as authentic and real.

I am still bewildered by the connections one can make through social media sites.
You can effect people from far and wide, or connect with someone who lives really close to you that you never knew existed.

We are all figuring out who we are, check out my fellow colleagues blog on this very same issue. He put me on the spot and asked me a basic question. WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL BRAND?

Building relationships and your social capital is essential for PR. What I am doing now, is taking one step at a time, constantly focusing on who I am, how I present myself, and learning the tools and applications that can bring this to life.
